Embassy of Finland SMME Accelerated Growth Programme (2010- 2011)

The Fetola SMME Accelerated Growth Programme was developed by Fetola for the Embassy of Finland Aid for Trade programme. It supported increased growth in a selection of promising South African businesses, using an integrated programme of business development, market access and mentor support. The 3-year programme delivered excellent results and some significant innovations, including a ‘Pay it Forward’ scheme – whereby participants were encouraged to support emerging local entrepreneurs and upskill their staff in return for receiving support via the programme.

Shared Interest Fair Trade Workshop Series (2009)

Fetola has a long-standing relationship with UK Fair Trade support organization, Shared Interest. Amongst other initiatives, we have rolled out a number of Fair Trade awareness workshops in partnership with them. The focus of the workshops was on Fair Trade education and providing individuals and organizations with an opportunity to learn more about the concept.

W&R Seta Training Programme (2008)

As a Wholesale & Retail Seta accredited organization, we have run several accredited training programmes aimed at small and emerging Black business owners and entrepreneurs. The programmes are made up of two week-long modules and provide a thorough introduction to retail and wholesale sales and retail shop management skills.

GIFT Warehouse (2006)

GIFT is a trading initiative of the Cape Craft and Design Institute (CCDI), designed and implemented by Fetola. Funded by Old Mutual Foundation to the tune of R2-million, GIFT provides an essential link between craft producers and corporate gift buyers, facilitating exchanges between maker and market. Fetola were the chief design and implementation consultants on the GIFT project, a contract that spanned twelve months and incorporated physical space design, business systems development and training, sourcing of suppliers, branding and corporate ID development, marketing and sales strategy, coordinating of official Launch and everything involved in setting up a new business model from scratch.
