We designed a dedicated enterprise development programme especially for Old Mutual, the Legends Programme, which has been successfully delivering exceptional results since 2007.
Now in its fourth year, the programme currently supports 34 small and emerging Black-owned businesses around the country, with the total number of beneficiaries exceeding 800.
The Old Mutual Foundation
Over the past four years, the Old Mutual Foundation has built up sound, innovative initiatives within the four focus areas of local economic development, education, HIV/AIDS and staff volunteerism. OMF have the philosophy of “looking beyond the obvious” seeking projects that deliver added value. In seeking out new ways of approaching social development, the project Product-2-Market was born with a philosophy of “beyond social investment”. It enables the Foundation to:
* Create ongoing sustainability within the communities in which we operate
* Maintain our lead as a corporate citizen
* Demonstrate our Proudly South African commitment
* Broker economic transactions between Old Mutual and the communities that add value to both
* Establish programmes that will encourage affirmative procurement
* Create stakeholder and communication opportunities
